Monday Morning Quarterback
These are the times that test what a Packer fan is really made of.
Sunday was a beautiful sunny day, but inside we went to watch The Game. I had great hopes that my team could at least split with season with the Vikes, but it was not to be. The Vikings are flat out the better team at this go 'round and there is no two ways about it.
If only....
It breaks my heart to root 'against' Brett Favre. I cheer for him when the Vikes are playing another team, but that was not the case yesterday of course. I heard some Sports Guys talking about Favre being in the unique spot. Most football fans are cheering for a team, not a player. These SG's contend that is not the case for Brett; fans will cheer for him like his was his own team.
I don't know about all that. I just know that the quarterback I've cheered for season after season is out of place and when the 'Norse' teams face-off, I feel out of place too.
Maybe next year. Until then, the Packer Faithful have to buck up and look ahead to next year. And you know, Aaron Rodgers is a pretty exciting quarterback to watch. Maybe life as a Packer girl isn't so bad after all.

I do the same thing. Favre is just so good that it's hard not to cheer for him (when he's not playing against The Pack, of course).
Aaron Rodger will be exciting...I can see talent there, but I didn't see it yesterday. Holy smokes, Sack City, USA, population Aaron R.

I wanted to include something about all the sacks and penalties. (Come ON Green Bay. Enough with the penalties already!) I was afraid I had already exhausted my topic and I should get over it.
The sky was a nice blue on Sunday; maybe Rodgers was enjoying the view?
