New northwest clinic from Olmsted Medical Center...
Olmsted Medical Center here in Rochester, Minnesota intends to hold a groundbreaking at 11 a.m. this morning (July 22, 2010) at the site of its new northwest clinic, rain or shine.
The new $13.8 million clinic will be at 5067 55th Street N.W. OMC also plans to invest $2 million in the latest technology. Altogether, with land, technology, construction costs, etc., the project's total value will be $20 million, OMC notes.
Spokesman Jeremy Salucka forwarded the following 2009 data about Olmsted Medical Center:
Total patients served: 71,288
Clinical encounters: 284,483
Hospital patient days: 8,023
Hospital admissions: 3,320
Surgical procedures: 3,608
Physical therapy visits: 27,596
MRI procedures: 1,679
CT procedures: 5,546
Laboratory procedures: 369,209
Physicians and clinicians: 136
Full-time equivalents: 800
Average length of employee service: 9 years
Turnover rate: 4.71 percent
Total net operating revenue: $142,297,365
Total operating expense: $132,175,437
So OMC has become a $142 million regional medical system — and it's continuing to invest.
