I would like to personally challenge all these candidates to change their minds about attending. What are you afraid of? Do you believe in what you tell your voters?

If you cannot participate in this debate on the issues in a neutral public forum, how are they going to be able to represent us, your potential constituents? It makes one think that you are from the "Washington As Usual" crowd, voting on issues for their own political gain.

It is also noteworthy to point out that you apparently have collectively created a partisan effort. What makes you any different than the rest of the crowd? We would like to know.

Cowards!

Those choosing not to particpate are not COWARDS!! Nor different from the rest of the crowd.

Knowing the feeling of the Tea Party movement towards different from their own, does not give a more Liberal mind set a chance.

The rallies and vitriol against the President and Health Care reform was a stunning example of a group, so emotionally charged, would have members with signs equating the President to Adolph Hitler, then Holacaust, and other despicable things.

DFL candidates were wise to not accept to attend.

The Tea Party forum was the night of the horrible floods here. I think our legislaturs had more important things to do to help cities respond to the crisis than having tea at their partisan tea party.

Mrs C,

By attending a forum, a candidate can answer the questions of the audience. If they do not attend, they simply are incapable of debate. Where does that leave them when they are in office? Nowhere. Undecided. Go with the flow.
