"Just think about it. Do the people of Minnesota really want marijuana to be legalized in the name of medicine? I don't think they do," Senjem said on the Senate floor.

Yeah legalizing marijuana for pain and nausea relief would just be the beginning. Next thing you know really addictive and harmful drugs like morphine would be legalized for medical use also.

Oh wait morphine is already legal.

To ban the medicinal use of marijuana is beyond the pale. All the arguments from the drug warriors and the grandstanding politicians show the danger of uncaring big powerful government.

Those poor drug warriors claim it will make their job fighting the war on a plant tougher. It is a ridiculous claim, but even if it were true it does not justify the uneeded suffering of innocent human beings.
