Brede's response - Your point is well taken. There is a special coating that is on these
benches that will allow the paint and additional coatings to adhere. The
company is the same one that the city used for other benches that are on
the Peace Plaza etc. Also the Mayo Clinic has used the same company. All
together the quality, durability etc. has been good.

Comment, and the locals could not have applied the same coating and were they given the chance to bid.

Sent this to the Mayor, will advise if he responds, OK the bench idea sounds like fun, kind of cold in the winter but hey we are tough. But is there some reason why a local business was not invoved in the manufacturer??? Looks like a couple could have done the job and kept jobs here.
