Taxes nickle and dime everyone

There is an article on airline taxes in the news today, how a lot of little taxes add up to a significant part ot the cost of flying.

Reminds me that the lodging tax in Rochester was defended as not impacting local residents, well that only works if you never travel to a city with these taxes, the fact is that they are everywhere,

I am sure the folks in Mpls or Chicago are grateful that they never stay in a hotel there, but come to Rochester. We are being nickled and dimed to death.

I agree totally. Everybody wants somebody else to pay for something, when, in fact, others are doing the same thing. In the end, we all end up paying. To me, it just makes a lot more sense to have everybody fund their own projects - that way we can honestly decide whether it is worth the money.
