Where's the party?

This was the mantra of my late teens and early 20's.  Looking for a party and place to fit in.

Many years later, I'm still looking for a party, but now I can't find one.

We have the Republican Party, which is "anti everything."  They are anti-gay, anti abortion, anti union, anti "green," anti universal health care and other than the military, pretty much "anti" everything.

Then we have the Democratic Party which is for "all of the above."  However they want to use the government (taxpayer) to fund all the initiatives, regulate, manage and/or own the effort. None of which government has ever done well.

Isn't there a Party somewhere which believes people should be allowed to mind their own business, make their own decisions and bear the consequences; and the federal government should not involve itself in anything but national defense?

Still lookin' for a Party............

White House Dog.....

There have been a lot of "dogs" in the White House. Some of the four legged variety, and perhaps more of the two legged variety.

What's with Obama choosing a Portuguese Water Dog? I thought he was a "Buy American" guy?

I can hardly wait for the "interest" stories which will tell us which paper, and what columnist has been designated for use in "puppy training." Does the puppy get the run of the White House? Does he get to sleep with the girls? Will they train him to hunt? What is his favorite food? What do cat lover's think of the choice? Oh, the drama of it all!

"Bo" seems an absolutely perfect name to me. I suspect this is short for "Bo Diddly." After Obama institutes all his tax proposals, most of us will feel like a dog, and won't have "Diddly" either?
