Popular kids salon closes its doors

Here's one I've had many parents ask me about this week.

A popular hair salon closed up shop this week after three years of cutting and styling children's hair in Rochester.
Littledudesanddivas
Little Dudes N Divas Salon, owned by Erik and Karen Kleven, abruptly closed its location at 3270 19th St. N.W. in the 19th Street Business Park.

On Wednesday, this message was posted on the salon's Facebook page:
"Little Dudes and Divas is sadly saying good-bye. We will miss you all. Thank you for your support over the years."

The Klevens were not available for further comment.

Please see if you can find out why they closed. My kids went here all the time, even had a birthday party there a few weeks ago and there was no hint that this was coming.

Probably people couldn't afford expensive hair cuts for their kids. Instead went to cost cutters for a $10 cut.

They were not that expensive, $13 for a haircut mid-day ("naptime special"). We LOVED that place for its kid-friendly atmosphere. Bummed & looking for a new spot that will welcome our energetic kids!
