New N.W. Roch. eatery to offer free food Saturday

Tortilleria Jalisco Restaurant will be cooking this Saturday - Aug. 13 - as it offers up free samples of its food from noon to 2 p.m. at 303 Elton Hills Drive N04072011tortilleriajalisco.W.

The new Rochester eatery has been in the works for quite a while, but Mercedes Rodriguez's family are now ready to fire it up.

While the free food promotion is for two hours on Saturday, Tortilleria Jalisco will officially open for the first time at 8 a.m. Monday.

I'll have more on this in my column Monday.

Stopped by - huge crowds, long wait, but completely worth it! Delicious food, great atmosphere inside. We'll be regulars...

What kind of equipment do you need to start up your own restaurant? I am trying to price everything and it is overwhelming!
