The buzz is that one of the former BP Pump and Munch stations in Rochester has been sold and
will eventually become a bank branch.
This is part of a larger strategy by the local bank to replace a current facility. Don't expect construction any time soon.
I'll have more detail on this soon.
Just what this town needs is another bank. i guess all our tax money for the bail out is going to a good cause. i wonder which crooked greedy bank needs another location, we seem to have more banks than seattle has starbucks. Heaven forbid we'd need to drive four blocks or walk a for that matterto make a withdrawl, seeing as noone has anything to deposit these days. What the heck are we giving tax increment financing to all these fools with fgrand delusions of expansion in this economy? Give Me a Break

I heard the bank in Wal-Mart South was closing (Premier Bank, if I recall correctly) so I wonder if the old BP that was just up the road from Wal-Mart South is going to become a Premier Bank branch?

So sorry my mistake on the bigger plan part! This does not change my opinion on the abundance of bank branches and bad business decision in a obviously bad market. Is this where our bail out money is going because the banks sure are not loaning money to those that really need it to get our markets moving. I really don't think Premiere poor market read on the South location is going to be fixed by moving sixteen blocks north. Wouldn't our community be better served in that BP location by a small country market for local farmers to deliver their produce and goods to the main stream Rochester regularly rather than another bank branch that is not and will not move money out the door?

Thankfully we live in America where you could take your idea and you could start the business in that location.
