Action @ ex-Mac Grill?

Are things revving up at the former Macaroni Grill building by Rochester’ Apache Mall?

Something might be rolling down the road, but there is no official word yet.

Dallas-based Brinker International closed Macaroni Grill in March. Brinker has brought in the Texas-based (Roger) Staubach real estate company to market the four-year-old, 7,300-square-foot building.

No official word yet on a potential, just don’t expect that other Brinker brand…Chili’s.

how about a Rock Bottom Brewery or Granite City?

White castle?

Both would be excellent tenants. Maybe even Old Chicago!

Either a prewpub as mentioned above, or a PF Changs or Cheesecake Factory would be nice additions as well.

How about a nice family restuarant instead, oh i guess thats McDonalds.

Rock Bottom Brewery is good..I'd definitely welcome that

We need somewhere like that...good food + brewery.

Mike (with a big M): Don't we already have enough family restaurants around here? What with 2 Perkins', a Baker's Square, and countless others I am drowning in mediocre, overpriced, pre-fab cuisine. Now a brewpub? That would be a fabulous idea.

There are 2 Baker's Square here.

I'd like to see something different too - something preferably not a national chain that I can find just about anywhere.

As I have said in other posts, I think a Red Lobster or Joe's Crab Shack would work well there.

Yes, these are chain restaurants but look at how much biz the Red Lobster gets downtown!

How about a nice Southern Style Seafood Restaurant!

So no chance of the Macaroni Grill going back in?

Bummer, that would have made a nice birthday present...

Let's hope they turn it intot the International House of Strippers. I love when that debate opens on this site. Give up on the Chili's.

Is Chris closer to the truth? I heard it has to do with a little old lady from Alabama and a lease not being renewed. Am I being cryptic enough?

Not sure if Chris is on the right path or not.

I have also heard of leases not being renewed, but not sure if the MacGrill is really a viable replacement site.
