Sonic Drive-In driving this way?
Not yet, but it is closer than when I last asked.

• Last June, I asked the folks at Sonic Drive-In if they’d be rolling into Rochester soon.
The answer was that once the Oklahoma City, Okla.-based chain entered Minnesota, Rochester would be high on the list.
Last Monday, the first Minnesota Sonic opened in St. Paul. Ones in Savage and Elk River are coming soon.
“We’re working toward you,” said Drew Ritgers of Sonic.
However, no plans on are the table yet.

It's about time. We're been getting teased with all the commercials on cable lately.
Jeff, do you know the location of the Sonic in St. Paul ? Roadtrip!

Google Maps shows an abandoned Taco Bell or Taco John's at that address. Guess we know what it replaced. :-)

Meh. On a recent trip south we ate at a Sonics. Tolerable burgers, terrible fries, forgettable drinks.

Sounds like McDonalds to me, Tolerable, how many times have they screwed up my order-too many. I guess you wont be back then?

I read an article in the Winona Daily News saying that Sonic is building its first Wisconsin drive-in in Eau Claire, to be open this fall.
They say they are definitely coming to La Crosse and/or Winona within the next few years as well.
