Wehrenberg Theatres - NOT FOR SALE

It looks like things have changed. Wehrenberg Theatres is no longer on the market for possible sale.

The owners have decided to not roll the credits just yet. Remember this is the St. Louis, Mo.-based company that built the Galaxy 14 movie complex at the Shoppes on Maine development.

Here's some from a release that came out this morning:

After investigating the possibility of selling the well-known Wehrenberg Theatres circuit with an investment banker, Ronald P. Krueger Sr. has announced he has decided to continue ownership and management of the company.

“We will continue our business, providing entertainment excellence to our guests, serving our existing markets and expanding into new markets,” he said.

“Under current market conditions, qualified buyers are unable to make offers that reflect the full value of our employees, first-class facilities and leading market position. I concluded the best action for our company is to be proactive to determine our own future,” Krueger said.
