Mayo Clinic + conference
Mayo Clinic is sponsoring the 2007 Current Issues in Clinical Research conference today and Wednesday at Minneapolis Convention Center.

The FDA Commissioner Dr. Andrew von Eschenbach talked about "Individualized Medicine" at 8:30 a.m. this morning. I wonder if Lee Aase did a podcast or a live blog session on that. I'd liked to have heard what he had to say.
At 3:10 p.m., Dr. Mark Paller and Eric Wieben will discuss the University of Minnesota / Mayo Clinic Genomics Collaboration. That could be interesting.
The Founder and President of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) Training Systems, Inc., David Markovitz will discuss "How to Optimize a System to Maximize Productivity in Clinical Research" at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Registered Nurse Christine K. Pierre will present a talk called "Clinical Research vs. Clinical Practice – Embrace the Difference" at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday. I don't know what that means, but it sounds engaging.

Another attempt by Mayo to associate itself with "productivity in clinical" research. Nice try.

i sure hope you know first hand of Mayo's productivity. While it may take years to get things accomplished in one area, they are very productive in other areas.
