Gingerbread House + Record
Rochester's Gingerbread House Bakery on North Broadway got some big news in the mail Saturday.

The Guiness Book of World Records has certified that the bakery, owned by the tireless John Fish, created the world's largest gingerbread man back in February during the Upper Midwest Bakery Convention in Rochester.
And the convention will again be here on Feb. 24 -25. Does Fish has a another record setting project slated?
"No, this year I'm just going to go to it and enjoy it," he says.
The gigantic gingerbread man is 15 foot long by 6 foot wide and about 600 pounds. He is still in Fish's barn – in pieces.
He may display the big guy one more time this January outside of the bakery.
"Can't catch me! I'm the world's largest gingerbread man and I'll crush anyone who tries to eat me!"
That doesn't have quite the same ring as the traditional children's story. I don't think it will catch on.
If you do want to read a great version of that story to read to your kids, try "The Gingerbread Baby" by Jan Brett.
