Toyota ceremony wrapup

A good-sized crowd of people from the Rochester business community showed up Wednesday afternoon at a hard-to-get-to dusty site along U.S 63 for a ceremony in honor of the new Toyota facility being built by Rob Gregory and Rochester Ford Toyota.

This event had everything - golden shovels, cameras, posed moment and lots of genuine excitement about the project.

Beside Rob Gregory, Merl Groteboer and Dan Penz were on hand to congratulate Greogory. Gregory in turn had plenty good things to say about Groteboer and Penz as well as Al Utesch, his general manager. He cited all of them as well as his family for helping getting this project moving.

I'm glad I dodged end loaders pushing dirt to make it out there. And I'm glad Rob gave me a call and a quick heads up on the event.

I'll have more details on this project next week.
