Why did the Rochester Arts Council morph into the new Greater Rochester Arts and Cultural Trust? What's the mission of the new group, and is the local arts community on board with the change?
That's the topic for the next Post-Bulletin Dialogues meeting, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Rochester Public Library. Joining me for an informal conversation about arts advocacy in Rochester will be Bari Amadio, executive director of the trust; Brad Jones, the trust's board chairman and executive director of the Rochester Convention and Visitors Bureau; Anthony Rostvold, of the Rochester Arts and Cultural Collaborative, another new organization; and Philip Taylor, a Rochester artist who's also on the arts advisory panel for the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council and a board member of C4; and others.
The hour-long event in the library auditorium is free and all about audience questions, so plan to join us and bring your curiosity.
