Since we make the grapes suffer in Minnesota, we may as well hold our winemaking industry convention in winter to make oenophiles suffer as well:
The Minnesota Grape Growers Association will host its 10th annual Cold Climate Conference for wine makers and grape growers, February 20-22, 2014, at the Crowne Plaza Riverfront, St Paul, MN. To celebrate and showcase the quality of wine being produced in the emerging cold climate growing region, the marketing committee of the MGGA has created two public events to coincide with the conference.
On Thursday, February 20, 2014, the public and visiting conference attendees are invited to 'WINE OUT in St Paul.' Five of St Paul's most distinguished restaurants will be featuring award-winning Minnesota wines on their menus. Faces, Heartland, Pazzaluna, Kincaids and Restaurant 11 are now accepting reservations and have a variety of local wines on hand to pair with their outstanding fare. Anthony Davis, beverage manager at Kincaids, is happy to support the MGGA efforts. "Thank you for this opportunity. We are really excited to be a part of this event."
