Here's some promo copy for the Dialogues program we've set for Aug. 13 in P.I.:
From Elk Run to downtown improvement and plans for a new school, Pine Island has a lot of community issues on the front burner.
That's why we're planning our next Post-Bulletin Dialogues meeting there, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, in the community room at the Pine Island Senior Citizens Center, 109 Third St. S.W.
Managing Editor Jay Furst will be joined by Mayor Rod Steele and community leaders to talk about economic development and key issues the community is dealing with, from dealing with MnDOT on U.S. 52 to attracting more jobs to town. P-B Dialogues meetings are informal, Q & A sessions, giving residents a chance to ask public officials and P-B journalists about issues in the news.
You're invited! Plan to join us for coffee, snacks and good conversation.
