Dodge County sheriff's news release on an incident Wednesday:
PRESS RELEASE
Dodge County Sheriff’s Office
February 6, 2013

At approximately 10:50 AM, a Dodge County deputy was running stationary radar in the City of Dodge Center. The deputy observed a pickup approaching at a high rate of speed (50 mph in a 30 mph zone). As the pickup neared the squad car, it veered across the opposing lane of traffic and swerved towards the squad, almost hitting it. The deputy stopped the pickup in the parking area of a business. The deputy made contact with driver, who provided false identification. He returned to his squad to request assistance as the driver was not being cooperative.

The suspect vehicle made a U-turn and headed straight head on with deputy, while the deputy was in his squad. The deputy had to drive out of the pickup’s way to avoid being hit and then he pursued the pickup. The pickup drove through several streets in Dodge Center, trying to escape from the deputy. The deputy pursued the pickup out of town and onto Highway 14 heading East. The pickup eventually got stuck in the median on Highway 14 East of Dodge County Road 25 and was taken into custody.

Dodge County received assistance from Kasson Police Department, the Minnesota State Patrol and the Dodge County Highway Department.

Charges are pending on the driver of the pickup.

The pickup was taken into custody? Looks to me like the Sheriff's Department could use a proofreader...:)
