« When a big corporation defines something as the 'ultimate uniform of cool'... | Main | Bullied: Stories readers have told me, Part 2 »

'I'll wear my black shirt and jacket until they come up with something darker'

A reader sent this (had trouble making the comment feature work):

We Harley people have a saying.  “If we have to explain, you wouldn’t understand.”  I’ll wear my black shirt and jacket until they come up with something darker.  By the way I ALWAYS wear my Hi-Vis vest or jacket when I ride AND my helmet.  Bob Anderson  (AKA Bubba)

As I told Bubba, I'm a black leather guy myself -- I just don't trust corporations to tell me what's cool, or to sell it to me. IMHO, there are a lot of bikers who decorate themselves with H-D wear, just like others do the Gap, A-F or Izod...and that's outlaw?
