I am so saddened to hear of this tragedy. My heart goes out to the family of dear Rachel and i offer them my support. I live between Kenyon and Faribault. In 2006, our 21 year old son, Jeremiah, took his life. He wrote pages about being bullied. He stated that the bullying he endured left him "with no self esteem and feeling like a loser." There are simply no words to describe the grief and pain...

I returned to college in the following months and am now finishing my Master's degree in Community Psychology with an emphasis on bullying/violence prevention. I am also a trainer for the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program. We have a facebook page www.facebook.com/jeremiahshopeforkindness, a website www.jeremiahshopeforkindness.org and are awaiting confirmation for our 501(c)(3) status. With Jeremiah's Hope for Kindness we hope to help students, parents and schools create kind and caring schools.

I commend you for organizing a community meeting as i am convinced that everyone needs to be involved if we are going to effectively reduce and prevent bullying. I would like to offer my assistance in any way as you proceed with this effort. Thank you!

With thoughts and prayers for the family and friends of dear Rachel-
Sincerely,
Ann Gettis
