Raskin's "exclusive" interview
Outgoing (as in "departing") Austin schools superintendent Candace Raskin declined to talk with our reporter Thursday when news of her resignation broke. In fact, she was fairly brusque about it and hung up.
The Austin Daily Herald, meanwhile, is promoting an "exclusive" interview with Raskin in today's edition.
I'll let you draw your own conclusion on why Raskin would choose to favor one news organization over another, and whether it's appropriate for a top public official (at least until June 30) to respond as she did. I also invite you to check out the depth and fairness of our coverage of Raskin and the Austin district over the past several months, compared with the competition.

Turned out being devoid of news value...

I wonder how much the Daily Herald paid her for their exclusiveness.
