Here's a note responding to freelance writer Chris Miksanek's column in Wednesday's paper:
Congratulations, Chris, on your insight. Your recommendation for Soldiers Field golf course is good but you should have said "go creen" along with the taxpayers subsiding the other money-losing municipal golf courses and suggested plowing them up and plant corn. The taxpayers would have a guaranteed rate of return that is renewable.
Interesting concept -- and the idea of liquidating the city's investment in public golf courses has come up in other public forums recently.
